Stage 1: Inspiration and Theme Selection
As our group embarked on the journey of creating a fashion film, we were fuelled by a desire to delve into the world of rituals—those everyday moments that shape our lives in subtle yet profound ways. After much brainstorming, we landed on the theme of "Morning Rituals," drawn to the idea of capturing the quiet moments of introspection and preparation that set the tone for the day ahead and how they can go wrong once something is missing.
Stage 2: Choosing the Brand and Adding Easter Eggs

With our theme in mind, the next step was to select a brand that resonated with our vision. Our mentor gave us the brand of, J.W. Anderson who emerged as the perfect fit—a brand known for its avant-garde designs and innovative approach to fashion. Incorporating Easter eggs related to J.W. Anderson became our playful nod to the brand, adding layers of depth and intrigue to our film. The features of the pigeons and Jw were Easter eggs added into the video. We came up with the idea of jw from the adult swim (AW) TikToks.

Stage 3: Making it Consistent

Consistency was key as we brought our vision to life. From the initial storyboarding sessions to the final editing process, every decision was made with our theme and chosen brand in mind. Whether it was selecting wardrobe pieces that echoed J.W. Anderson's signature style or crafting scenes that embodied the essence of morning rituals, maintaining consistency was paramount in ensuring a cohesive and compelling narrative. At first the group had a discussion on what they believed rituals were and what comes into play. We brainstormed ideas from rituals and seances to routines.
Stage 4: Before the Cameras Roll: Storyboards and Mind Mapping

Before the cameras started rolling, we delved into the pre-production process with gusto. Storyboarding sessions allowed us to visualise each scene, mapping out the flow of the film and ensuring that every shot served a purpose. Meanwhile, mind mapping sessions sparked creativity and encouraged us to think outside the box, infusing our film with fresh ideas and unexpected twists. The style of the film reminds me of Wes Anderson or a more art influenced film.
Stage 5: Bringing it All Together
